Matching Donations are an excellent way to jumpstart a fundraising campaign because they enable a “double the donation” feature. This incentivizes donors to act quickly and give “NOW,” as every dollar pledged will be doubled. Your matching donation doubles their contribution.  

For example: If you pledge $10,000 as a Matching Donor, we will promote it — announcing to the community that we have a generous donor whose matching donation is in the queue. Then every dollar donated up to the $10,000 will be DOUBLED! Your $10,000 then inspires others to give now, resulting in your $10,000 + the $10,000 we raise = $20,000 for our cause.
